On 11 December 2025, LBTU Malnava College became an associate partner of the ChallengeEU with the aim of promoting high-quality, modern, and collaboration-based education. At the ChallengeEU associate partners’ meeting, organized by the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies as the alliance’s partner in Latvia, the college was represented by Karīne Laganovska, Deputy Director for Higher Education, Research, and Lifelong Learning.

ChallengeEU is a European university alliance that brings together higher education institutions and partners from nine countries to jointly improve the quality of education, promote innovative teaching approaches, research, student and staff mobility, and to strengthen collaboration between academia, business, and society.

By becoming an associate partner, the college will gain the opportunity to:

  • engage in challenge-based learning (CBL) projects collaborating with international partners to solve real-world problems;

  • participate in M.A.R.K.E.T.s research and innovation teams;

  • develop joint study, research, and mobility activities;

  • promote the international competencies of students and staff;

  • expand its network of cooperation with universities, enterprises, municipalities, and NGOs across Europe.

The project puts special emphasis on sustainability, digital transformation, openness, and intercultural cooperation—values that are also central to the college’s development strategy.

LBTU Malnava College is pleased to become part of the ChallengeEU international cooperation community and continues its work to develop high-quality, modern, and collaboration-oriented education.
