10th International Conference "Sustainability and Resources in Land Management: Cooperation in Times of Crisis and Change"

The Forest Certification Council of Latvia invites forest and related industry representatives, policy makers and business leaders to apply for participation in the 10th international conference "Sustainability and resources in land management: cooperation in times of crisis and change". At the event, special attention will be paid to sustainability factors in the context of European environmental policy, based on the experience, research and opinions of industry experts. The conference will take place on October 30 at the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences of the Latvian University of Biosciences and Technologies (LBTU MVZF). Those interested are invited to register by filling in the application form.

The conference will take place from 9.00 a.m. to 16.15, arrival and registration from 8.00 a.m. The event will be opened by Linards Sisenis, vice-rector of finance of LBTU, Andris Paeglītis, acting dean of the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences (MVZF), and Māris Liopa, chairman of the Latvian Forest Certification Council, adviser to the Minister of Agriculture on sustainable management of forest resources. Reports will follow in four sessions.

The conference is held under the motto "Rebus sic stantibus", which symbolically emphasizes the need to find new solutions for cooperation and management in times of significant changes in circumstances. The event will take place in person in Jelgava, Akademias Street 11, and will also be broadcast online on the websites zemeunvalsts.lv, db.lv and konferences.db.lv. The working language will be Latvian and English.
