State-funded scholarships

State-funded scholarships are available to students of LBTU Malnava College. These scholarships are intended to support high-achieving students and encourage active participation in the college’s academic and social life.

The state-funded scholarship is awarded in the amount of 140 EUR per month. The scholarship is awarded based on academic performance during the previous study period. Scholarships are awarded in accordance with applicable regulations (Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 818 “Regulations on Scholarships”) and LBTU Malnava College’s internal regulations “On Scholarships.”

One-time Scholarships

In addition to the monthly state-funded scholarship, students may be awarded one-time scholarships for active participation in extracurricular activities, including:

•    participation in conferences, seminars, and other academic events;

•    involvement in college publicity and representation events;

•    participation in the organization of college events;

•    other similar activities that promote the college’s development and visibility.

One-time scholarships are awarded based on an evaluation of the student’s contribution and the significance of the activities.

Decisions regarding scholarships awarded by LBTU Malnava College are made by the Scholarship Committee, which includes representatives from each year of every study programme, ensuring an objective and transparent evaluation process.

Studētgods Scholarship

Students at LBTU Malnava College can also apply for the Studētgods Scholarship, which is intended for students in need of social assistance. The scholarship amount is 180 EUR per month

Full-time bachelor’s and college programme students (including those paying tuition) up to 25 years of age (incl.) can apply for the scholarship:

  • “Jaunietis 3+” – at least one of the student’s parents has three or more children registered in the Register of Natural Persons;

  • “Vecāks 3+” – the student has three or more children registered in the Register of Natural Persons;

  • “Orphan/without parental care” – the student under the age of 18 registered in the Register of Natural Persons as an orphan or a young person left without parental care;

  • “Group I or II disability” – the student has a Group I or II disability;

  • the student belongs to a household that has been granted the status of a low-income or needy household and meets the criteria for receiving a social scholarship.

The Studētgods scholarship is administered by the State Education Development Agency (VIAA), and applications are submitted electronically.
